Following
the launch of the Microsoft Dynamics Industry Builder Initiative
in which MS launched its Dynamics AX vertical solutions
to the UK market, Ardent Solutions has been selected as
the prime reseller of Dynamics AX for the Industrial Equipment
Manufacturing sector.
Dynamics AX for IEM has been launched to drive advanced
functionality designed to specifically meet the needs
of the IEM industry looking at stronger integration of
business processes, shortening cycles, and increasing
the visibility of projects and accounts. It also supports
expansion plans with multi-language functionality as
standard.

75% of Microsoft Dynamics AX customers achieve a positive
ROI*
- Delivering a real return with Microsoft Dynamics AX
According to a recent survey conducted by Nucleus Research
* 75% of Microsoft Dynamics AX customers had achieved a positive
Return on Investment from Dynamics AX with an average payback
time of 23 months. There was good news concerning deployment
too, with an average of 13 months for a deployment, ranging
from as little as 5 months to 36 month for a full phased
implementation.
The report goes on to identify the typical characteristics
of successful implementations within a company reporting
that those companies experiencing the highest return
were those that had planned effectively before selection
and implementation. These organisations had included
both IT and business in the selection and planning process
and performed pilots to test usability. They also undertook
both functional and ROI-related evaluations of the short
listed solution candidates. The research concluded that
having both business and IT agree on expected costs and
benefits, and both inputting into the selection process,
kept technology and political ‘bumps’ to
a minimum through deployment.
